Gestalt Institute of the Gulf Coast, Sarasota, Florida
Elinor Greenberg, PhD, CGP Gestalt Therapist, Trainer, Writer and Lecturer on Borderline, Narcissistic and Schizoid Adaptations The Gestalt Institute of the Gulf Coast (www.gigc.org) invites you to a presentation by Dr. Elinor Greenberg on her concept of the Interpersonal Gestalt, a simple way to conceptualize and diagnosis Personality Disorders based on what becomes figural for the client during interpersonal interactions.  The concept of the Interpersonal Gestalt allows the therapist to fairly quickly and easily make a differential diagnosis and determine whether a particular client has made a Borderline, Narcissistic, or Schizoid adaptation.   This allows the therapist to choose the most appropriate and effective interventions. The GIGC will offer 2 CEU’s for the afternoon attendance.  A small donation ($10-20) would be welcome, but not obligatory, to offset our costs of maintaining our website and registration with CE-Broker tracking.  Elinor Greenberg PhD, CGP is an internationally renowned Gestalt therapy trainer who specializes in teaching the diagnosis and treatment of Borderline, Narcissistic, and Schizoid adaptations in a lively, practical way. She is Vice President of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, adjunct faculty to the Gestalt Center (New York); and is an Associate Editor  of the Gestalt Review.  In addition to her extensive Gestalt therapy credentials, Dr. Greenberg is also a graduate of and former faculty member of The Masterson Institute, a post-graduate training institute, where she taught and supervised students in a psychoanalytically- oriented object relations approach to the theory and treatment of personality disorders. She is a certified Ericksonian hypnotherapist and is in the National Registry for Certified Group Psychotherapists.  Dr. Greenberg has written and published many articles on the diagnosis and treatment of personality disorders and her collected papers on this topic will soon be available in book form as:  Love, Admiration, and Safety: Collected Papers on Borderline, Narcissistic, and Schizoid Adaptations. There will be time for discussion and refreshments will be available. Please let me know if you are planning to come. We welcome all interested colleagues to join us.  We will meet at 4635 Little John Trail, Sarasota 34232 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday 6th February. Looking forward to seeing you there.
